(ACEI) of Sioux Falls, SD offers integrated mechanical and electrical engineering services for the design of plumbing, fire protection, heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), building automation, lighting, power, sound and communications systems for commercial buildings. ACEI provides electrical engineering and design for a variety of building construction types, including commercial, industrial, educational, healthcare and institutional.
We have a position in Sioux Falls, South Dakota for an Electrical Engineer or Engineer In Training (EIT) to develop and manage commercial building system design projects.
Work Schedule: Full-time, base schedule Monday - Thursday (7-5pm), Friday (7-11am), with alternate arrangements available to fit individual needs.
Salary Range: $60,000 - $100,000, plus bonuses, depending on experience.

Responsibilities include:
- Design of power, lighting, telecommunications, and fire alarm systems for both new construction and renovated commercial buildings
- Help lead in the production of drawings and specifications for construction documents in design/bid/build and design/build projects
- Manage assigned projects, including scheduling and giving direction to technical staff
- Coordinate with other disciplines, serving utilities, owners and contractors during both design and during construction
- Work with local and regional code officials
Qualifications needed:
- Electrical Engineering Degree
- PE License preferred, but not required
- Previous experience in Electrical Design preferred, but not required
- Understanding of building electrical and low voltage systems preferred, but not required
- Knowledge of National Electrical Code and Energy Codes preferred, but not required
- Ability to complete work on time
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of local territory preferred
